Community Guidelines

Talk the Town is a town full of learners practicing out loud. When you chat or use voice with other players, these rules keep it a place people want to come back to.

Be a good neighbor

• Be kind and patient. Everyone here is learning. Encourage, don't mock. Slow down for beginners.
• No harassment or hate. No bullying, threats, slurs, or hateful conduct toward anyone for any reason.
• Keep it clean. No sexual content, sexual advances, or explicit language — especially since younger learners may be present.
• Protect privacy. Don't share your own or anyone else's personal information (real names, phone numbers, addresses, socials). Don't ask others for theirs.
• Never target minors. Any attempt to solicit, groom, or make sexual or inappropriate contact with a minor is prohibited and will be reported.
• Don't spam or disrupt. No flooding chat, mic spam, advertising, scams, or trying to break the game for others.
• Use voice considerately. Voice is push-to-talk. Don't play music or background noise over it, and don't talk over people.

Tools you have

You're in control of your experience: mute anyone in the voice panel, block a player to silence their voice and hide their chat, or report & block for conduct that breaks these rules. You can leave voice chat at any time. Voice is off until you choose to join.

Enforcement

Breaking these rules can result in your messages being filtered, your access to chat/voice being removed, or your account being suspended or terminated — see our Terms. Serious or illegal conduct (especially anything involving minors) may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
